Gif tutorial. With the KM Player & Photoshop ( CS5 ) on PC. 

  A lot of people asked me how doing gif. So there it is, is use adobe photoshop cs5 ( for doing the gif ) and the Kmplayer to doing my caps – if you don’t have photoshop, you can do a gif with photoscape for free with the caps you did with KM player ( don’t worry i explain how doing them ) - but i don’t think it’s different between the photoshop diferent. If you have any question go to my ask . Please don’t repost this tutorial and respect the time i took for doing this. Enjoy. !

• Step 1 : Doing capture with the Kmplayer

   So, open your video with the Kmplayer, for the best quality, downald one in HD ( 720p – 1080p ) I downald them on thepiratebay.org. Or atube catcher if it’s a youtube video. Well when you open it, choose the moment you need to gif and press stop, when you did it, hold on « crtl » + « G » on your keyboard. Then something like that happen, what’s inside the red have to be like that.

When you did it, then press start in the fram extraction, and do play and stop in the video when you don’t need anymore that in the gif. And press stop in the frames extraction then don’t close it, but press open, and select the frames you need and create a new file in your image, copy and past the frammes you selected in your new file.

• Step2 : Only working with Photoshop.

First of all, make sure you have the Animation in down, just to make sure in the top, go to Window > Animation and make sure it’s check. So we can start. Go to File > Script > Load fiiles into stack.

Then you have this little window pop up right back, you’re gonna find your file in your images that you have pasted your caps. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHANGED FILES FOR FOLDER, Then you can browse.

When you did it, you have to have your caps in the little pop up ( the first ) and you can do OK. Your caps are loading don’t worry if it’s taking a little while. So now do like the image right there :

Once you did it, we’re gonna make frames from layers :

In the left of your animation, you have « Once » change it for «  forever ». Now select all the frammes and reverse them in the same way that youayers jsut find it. Once you did it, all your frammes are selected, just click in one, exemple, click on the last one, in the 0sec and change it for 0,1 or 0,2sec as whatever you want your gif move. Then select on the left in the tools where you can see a pencil ect.. ) select the crop tool ( if you don’t find it just press « C » on yo made frames from lur keyboard. Then in the top make the size you wanna, i did that but you can change it if you want. If you’re doing a photoset choose on your layout if you want 2 gif side by side make the Widlth for 245 px and for three make 160 px.

for doing a good quality gif sharpen it. Select your first frame and your first layer, go to filter > Sharpen > Smart sharpen. Then do it for all your frames and layers ( NB if you select the 2^nd frame you need to select your 2^nd layer. Ect or it’s not gonna working. ) :

Now add your coloring as your do usually. This is my coloring, i did it you can use it but please don’t repost it ( : Sign it or not just in case i show you how i’m doing. Select the text tool or press T on your keyboard.

Make sure the test layer is before your psd or it’s gonna look awefull. When you did it as you wanna, i did it in soft light, duplicate it, and delect the first one.

So now you’re done, we’re gonna save it go to file > Save for web & devices. If you’re gonna post your gif on tumblr make sure it’s under 1M but if it’s for your sidebar it’s okay, look right after that to see how know that. If it’s more than that, delect some frames, or change of coloring, or maybe just take off some colors.

When you’re done save it, give it a name, and Voilà ! :D Here’s my result i hope it helped don’t hesite to send me a message ( :
